AOTEAROA ROOTS DUB & JUNGLE

A seasoned DJ and celebrated music producer from Wellington, New Zealand, renowned for his Remix work & forward-thinking contributions to reggae, dub, soundsystem culture and the wider underground music scene.

With over 15 years of experience behind the decks, he has played countless tours, festivals and stadiums across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands — performing for crowds ranging from 35,000 at major events to intimate shows in small-town pubs and clubs. He has supported international and local stars such as Sean Paul, UB40, Skratch Bastid, Fiji, JBoog, Fatman Scoop, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Salmonella Dub, Che Fu, Spawnbreezie, Smino, Dillinja and many more.

Recently he’s focused on studio work, collaborating with artists including Tiki Taane, Irie Love (Hawaii), Israel Starr, Sianne, King Kapisi and Sammy Johnson to record new music, with plans to tour those releases next summer.

Riddim Cartel is a staple of New Zealand’s club and underground scene, seamlessly blending sing-along favourites with the soulful depth of reggae and dub while weaving in upbeat electronic, dancehall and bass-heavy drum & bass elements. Inspired by Jamaican sound system culture and UK dub/electronic traditions, his powerful sets deliver deep bass, conscious energy and uplifting rhythms built to move any dancefloor.
